The 2020 GB National Championships will be hosted at Coniston SC
We are extremely honoured to have the D 1’s next year at Coniston. For more information about the club, and the webcam (!), click on https://www.conistonsailingclub.co.uk/
Car Parking & accomodation.
We have our own car park near to the club, with plenty of space for cars, vans and road trailers, however No overnight campervans as we have a campsite next door, and a few others in the vacinity.
The Club.
We have a Lounge Bar (alcohol sales), a 'Wet Bar' (sitting and eating facility, wet suits etc can be worn here), male & female changing rooms, drying room with spin dryer, dinghy park with 2 launching ramps & BBQ / Picnic area.
Wednesday.
We have our regular racing on Wednesday evening and any of the D-One team are welcome to join in if they are in the area. Dinghies can also be dropped off if required.
Thursday.
We can provide you with Safety boat & crew cover for your practice session, which you can use for video / photography if required.
We have a TV in the outside bar / dining room where you can show your videos etc.
There is a fish & chip shop in the village, I still need to check opening times for a Thursday evening if you want to buy your supper.
Registration.
We can carry out this on Thursday & Friday, also offering a 'weigh in' service for those that need it.
Catering.
Unfortunately our club house is a bit small for a formal evening meal and we will have quite a few of our own members up for the weekend, making it fairly busy in the evening. However we can offer our BBQ and provide charcoal & food for the Friday evening if required. For the Saturday evening there is a Pub about 1/2 mile up the road "The Ship", which may be able to provide a Championship Dinner, or there are a few places in the village.
Hot Drinks and biscuits will be available all weekend.
Breakfast buns and a hot lunch will be provided on Fri, Sat & Sun .
Racing Agenda.
We will provide 2 Safety Boats with crew and a Committee boatwith OD & team for the duration.
Friday 3 races; 11 to 11:30am start and 1:30 to 2:00pm start, back to back
Saturday 4 races; 10:30am start, back to Back and 2:00pm start, back to back
Sunday 3 races; 10:30 start, all back to back.
Presentations after lunch 2:30 to 3:00pm
