UYC Wolfgangsee is very happy to welcome D-One sailors again, and we hope many international sailors will join our growing Austrian fleet for our regatta, and also take advantage of a great opportunity for competition before the Gold Cup the next weekend. 

Lake Wolfgangsee is located in the federal state of Salzburg and is surrounded by a beautiful scenery of mountains and hills and offers perfect sailing conditions throughout the year. The Gold Cup at Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic is an easy 2-3 hour drive from St Gilgen.

The wind conditions are ranging from light thermal winds up to strong winds with 5bft or more. Because the lake is surrounded by mountains it is known for shifty winds and challenging racing conditions.

Host club UYC-Wolfgangsee is located at the north end of the lake (St.Gilgen) and is well known for organizing big international events like the Zoom8 World Championships 2015 and many other national and international championships, including the biggest D-One Gold Cup ever held, in 2018. The Austrian D-One fleet is relatively small but constantly growing and we would be very pleased to welcome some international guests to our events. Lake Wolfgangsee is located near the city of Salzburg and easy to reach via the A1 motorway from all directions
