2019 European Championships
The Swiss D-One class invites you to participate to the D-One EuroCup 2019, which takes place for the first time form September 12 to September 15, 2019 at the Lake of Biel in Switzerland.
We are looking forward to welcome you at "Bielersee", with the Yachtclub Bielersee www.ycb.ch hosting the D one fleet.
Racing will take place at "Wingreis", a cosy wine producing area 10min away from Biel/Bienne.
Biel is the heart of Swiss watchmaking, located at the foot of the Jura mountains. The charm of bilingualism (French and German) and the intact old town make the town an attractive place for excursions to hiking in the woods and mountains or to Berne, Neuchâtel or to the three Jura lakes.
Lake Biel offers excellent conditions for westerly and northeastern wind directions, the main wind directions to be expected in September in Switzerland.
We have planned to start racing Thursday, Friday through Sundays races will be joined the the Dolphin Class, that are holding their Swiss Championships on Bielersee.
Social program will start with a welcome Apéro and casual meal on Thursday.
Friday we will organise a dinner at Rebhauskeller, an old winery.
