COPPA D-ONE ITALIA 2024 - Tutti a Volano!
The date (September 22) when the Italian Cup will end and the titles of Cup Winner and Italian Champion will be awarded is approaching!
The provisional ranking after the four Imperia races highlights how important participation in the cup is.
GB Nationals RWYC Plymouth
The D1 Nationals were held jointly with the Laser 4000’s and ISO’s at the Royal Western Yacht Club in Plymouth from 28th-30th June. Many boats arrived on the Thursday and set up in bright summer conditions although still a little cold for the time of year.
This historic naval setting had ideal scenic views and a perfect area for some great sailing. We were greeted by a very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful team at the Royal Western with Sam Hannaford running the overall event.
2024 Gold Cup, Imperia YC, ITA
The D-One has always specialised in a very international travelling circuit to pleasant locations around Europe, so was hit hard in the Covid era. It was great to see it bounce back with a wonderful championship at Imperia, on the Italian Riviera east of San Remo.
We started the preceding weekend with a round of the Italian Coppa d'Italia. In very light winds the speed of the lake sailors was clear, with Frank Suchanek (GER) narrowly beating Enrico Ciferri (ITA) and Jorg Deimling (AUT).
Many of the sailors then enjoyed a romping 20knot practice on the Monday, wondering what was to come next.
2024 Silver Cup, Travemunde, GER

2024 Gold Cup, Imperia YC, ITA
We are delighted to announce that the 2024 Gold Cup will be held at the Imperia Yacht Club, ITA.

Coppa D-one Italia 2024
Given the success of the formula adopted in 2023, which saw the Italian Champion proclaimed at the end of a successful series of three regattas, the Italian Class D-one establishes the
Coppa D-one Italia 2024
series of regattas open to all European, Swiss and British helmsmen, valid for the awarding of the title of Italian Class D-one Champion.
2023 SILVER CUP, Baratti, Toscana, Italia, European championship
In the beautiful town of Baratti (LI), in the center of the Tuscan coast, at the Piombinese CVP Sailing Center, the 2023 SILVER CUP took place, valid as the European championship class D-one.
Very tall pines, the chirping of cicadas, the sunny beach and the beautiful sea characterized this event, which however had to deal with a naughty wheather perturbation that put the Italian Civil Protection on alert.
